As a true visual chameleon, Jake Pickle is immersed in a variety of medias. His creative skin transforms from designer to photographer to illustrator and art director more than a woman getting ready to go out at night. Pickle likes trespassing mediums, conventions, and social norms. He is a spontaneous character considered to be eccentric, unpredictable, and curious.

Jake is equally comfortable working with pencil and paper, pen and ink, his camera and strobes, on location or in the studio, type, an exacto-knife, spray paint, print, story telling, messaging, motion, web, and even gets into the code if he needs to (he has friends for this). His creative toolbox is vast, and his thirst to grow, learn, and better himself, both as a designer and person, continues with each heartbeat. If he doesn’t know how, or hasn’t done it, he figures it out. The world is his dance-floor, and the beats are good.

Fascinated with the condition of being human, he has a deep interest in people and what drives them. Jake’s life and work emerge from the philosophy that “Form is the Burden.” He considers the social value of things to be the burden by which most people are governed. Through his creative efforts, he aims to transform this thinking with the intention of inspiring people to drop the social norm and be authentic. His goal is to get you out of the house and actively participate in life.

Originally from Southern California, Jake’s influences are both outdoor and urban lifestyles which grow deep and drip thick from his pores. Today, you can find him living in an old shop space at the footsteps of the Rockie Mountains. The shop has been transformed into a design studio, photo studio, painting studio, stencil factory, dance club, gourmet kitchen, and general creative space. He calls it home.

Currently he is available for contract or full-time work.
